Kria Brekken is an Icelandic vocalist and classically trained multi-instrumentalist. She is best known as a former frontperson of múm, and later on for collaborating with former husband David Portner as Avey Tare & Kría Brekkan.

Born and raised in Atlanta, GA, David Charles Shuford is the body behind Speer. After moving to New York City in the early 90s, Shuford forged a path as a musician adept in multiple sounds and styles. A member of the No Neck Blues Band for 15 years and running, he has also engaged his mind and fingers in other groups such as Enos Slaughter, The Suntanama, Egypt Is The Magick #, and Coach Fingers. Through a steady series of home recordings, the Speer trajectory began to take shape in the early 2000's.

Kath Bloom is a legend of folk, country, blues and avant-garde music. She has been making records since the late 70s, and has had her music featured in the movie Before Sunrise by Richard Linklater

Life among the Trees is an experimental rock group currently based out of Albany NY. Their music, often evading genre specificity, is best characterized by their unorthodox methods of crafting songs. This process includes improvisation, instrument creation, sound manipulation, tape mastication, along with any other conceivable path to aural pleasure.

So Ghost is the solo project of drummer/producer Jason Nazary, also of the band Little Women. Incorporating electronic processing along with acoustic drumset, Ghost aims to explore the extreme ends of the sonic spectrum, combined with unhinged grooves.

John Colpitts (aka Kid Millions) is a Brooklyn-based multi-instrumentalist, composer and writer who is perhaps best known as the drummer for Oneida. Man Forever, his vehicle for exploring the outer limits of drum performance, was created to overwhelm, to investigate the nuances that bloom in the midst of repetitive music, and to act as a pure sound experience. Free-folk enigma Gary Higgins entered the popular consciousness more than three decades after his music career ground to an abrupt halt when the reissue of his 1973 cult classic, Red Hash, became a cause célèbre in the summer of 2005.
