| 2 | 3 | 4 | 5 | 6 | 7 Friday, October 7th 8:00pm Lindsay Clark & Emily Ritz Join us for an evening of lovely music.
Lindsay Clark a songwriter / multi-instrumentalist based in Portland, OR, originally from the small gold rush town of Nevada City, CA. Inspiration from classical, folk, bluegrass, dad's records. She is a lover of nature and sound who grew up in the Sierra Nevada mountains.
__
Emily ritz has been creating otherworldly celestial soul music for years as a fixture in the Bay Area music scene since she moved there in 2006. Inspired by the lush landscape of northern California and magic of the pacific ocean, Emily's songs have a multi textural feel and unique structure that often mirrors the cycles of nature.
The native New Yorker left for California right after high school to study painting and film making at California College of the Arts. Embraced by the music community in SF, Emily found her place there as a performer. She continued to tour and put out albums with the Bay as her home base long after graduating from college. Her previous projects include Honeycomb, DRMS, and her more recent band with Kacey Johansing, Yesway. Since her move back East to Hudson NY, Emily has been performing under her own name for the first time.
Refreshed and energized by her new environment, Emily's music is constantly evolving. Her songs are moving in a new direction though her sound is still very much influenced by her time in California. With a heavy delay on her electric guitar, odd time signatures and intricate guitar picking underneath powerful and dreamy vocals, you can expect a compelling live performance. Emily will be recording her first solo record summer 2016. MORE ABOUT THIS EVENT | 8 Saturday, October 8th 7:00pm Volume Come celebrate our 1 year anniversary!
